Job DescriptionThe General Accountant will drive best practices in accounting, financial reporting and compliance. The successful candidate will provide a variety of accounting functions with precision and timeliness, including preparing monthly financial statements, analysis and assisting in financial audits.
Responsibilities:
Performing a variety of financial tasks from start to finish, including entry, reporting, reconciliation, and financial analysis.
Performing monthly account reconciliations and maintaining general ledgers.
Reconciling bank accounts daily.
Monitoring and reconciling cash activities for all sites.
Assisting in preparation of timely and accurate financial statements.
Preparing, entering, and adjusting journal entries.
Recommending enhancements and improvements to existing processes
Day to day accounting related queries and other ad hoc reporting and duties as required.
Qualifications
Accounting Degree or Diploma and 3+ years of relevant experience.
Experience in performing account reconciliations and analysis.
Excellent communication skills both orally and written.
Self-Motivated with the ability to multitask.
Excellent Excel Skills.
Strong attention to detail
