Madrid, the vibrant capital of Spain, is home to many iconic landmarks, but none perhaps as significant as km 0. Nestled in the heart of the city, km 0 marks the point from which all roads in Spain are measured. This small but powerful marker, located in Puerta del Sol square, holds immense symbolic value. It not only serves as a geographical reference point but also embodies the historical, cultural, and political significance of Madrid.Surrounded by bustling shops, cafes, and historic buildings, km 0 is a popular meeting spot for both locals and tourists. Visitors can snap photos with the iconic marker, soak in the lively atmosphere, and explore the surrounding attractions. From here, you can embark on a journey to discover Madrid’s rich history, diverse culture, and vibrant spirit. Whether it’s wandering through the narrow streets of the old town, marveling at world-class art in renowned museums, or indulging in delicious Spanish cuisine.Rome International School #GlobeducateMUN Globeducate

This week, four compassionate students from our Rome International School IB Academy dedicated their efforts to supporting a local charity that aids homeless individuals in our community, striving to provide them with essential care and dignity. These students have undertaken various initiatives to raise awareness and gather support for this cause. They've meticulously crafted materials to showcase within our school, complemented by informative sessions held in classrooms to elucidate their project's significance. Their primary focus is on collecting clothing, as depicted in the presentation linked below, which will be subsequently channeled to the City Angels Italia charity upon completion of the collection phase. Moreover, these students have extended a warm invitation to the charity representatives, inviting them into our school environment to introduce themselves to our community, fostering a deeper connection and potential for ongoing support.Their initiative exemplifies the essence of a remarkable CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service) project, serving as an inspiring beacon for others to lend a helping hand to those in need. If you're willing and able to contribute, kindly keep an eye out for the designated collection boxes within our school premises where you can drop off your donated clothing items. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. Thank you.#CAS #RomeInternationalSchool #IB #Charity #Kindness #dofe

On Tuesday, February 28th, Rome International School warmly welcomed St. Francis for an exhilarating friendly football event, featuring three distinct matches that engaged over 40 enthusiastic students! The event kicked off with Year 3 stepping onto the court for their first match of the year, and they certainly lived up to the anticipation. In a display of sheer determination and skill, both teams poured their hearts into the game. The intensity was palpable as the match concluded in a hard-fought 4-4 draw, leaving spectators on the edge of their seats. Our second goalkeeper earned well-deserved recognition as the man of the match for his stellar performance, stepping up admirably in the absence of our senior goalkeeper who was unable to participate this time. Our two attackers showcased their prowess with beautifully executed goals, adding to the excitement of the game. The team's progress is nothing short of commendable, and they can take immense pride in how they've advanced.I would like to thank the RIS PE Department for organising this wonderful opportunity and providing such enjoyment for all involved. #sports #ris #competition #football #romeinternationalschool
